Claylands Road Ind Est
Saturday 3rd of November/ 10am - 5pm
This one day course will introduce the techniques and processes of line etching. Developing their own images, students will learn to transfer their designs to zinc plates before etching in a saline sulphate mordant; made from copper sulphate and sodium chloride, this is a safer alternative to traditional acids. Following plate preparation, etching and proofing, students will go on to create their own small edition of prints; using two additional techniques to add colour to the etched designs. Suitable for beginners and those looking to refresh existing skills.
