Showcasing the work of two former senior academics from Arts University Bournemouth. Painterly Sites brings together the work of Michael Griffiths and Jim Hunter, exploring the common ground to be seen within their individual creative work. This exhibition at ArtSway runs from the 3rd to the 17th of September and includes a collection of large screen prints produced at the Badger Press.

Many of you close to the Badger Press will, recognise Mike’s name; founder of the Badger Press (setting up the studio in 1982), Michael Griffiths studied painting and printmaking at Brighton in the 1970s. Since then he has exhibited widely in the UK and abroad, including many international print biennales. He is a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers. We’re pleased to report Mike is still a very active printmaker making regular use of the Badger Press studio.

Painterly Sites is part of ArtSway’s summer 2016 exhibition programme as ArtSway regenerates its role as a leading venue for contemporary visual arts in the region.
